What began in a small town in Sicily has grown into an ever-expanding jewelry brand, inspired by waves, sunlight, memories, and the timeless beauty of the sea.

We grew up in a small town in Sicily, where the sea was more than just a view.

It was part of our daily lives.

Long before I Segreti del Mare was born, we spent our days learning the art of traditional jewelrymaking in a small local workshop, surrounded by metals, gemstones, and endless curiosity.

Even then, the sea was already shaping everything we loved:

the ever-changing reflections, the imperfect waves, the salty light of sunset, and that sense of calm only the ocean can offer.

Over time, we learned to turn those emotions into small pieces of jewelry to carry with you every day.

Then we discovered Japan

Years later, our travels took us far from Sicily.

Of all the experiences we had, one in particular forever changed the way we see jewelry: Japan.

There, we discovered a completely different philosophy.

An approach in which beauty does not come from excess, but from harmony. Where every detail has meaning and every object is created with respect, patience, and intention.

That vision left a deep mark on our work.

From then on, we began designing jewelry that was more understated, more symbolic, and more connected to the emotions it seeks to convey.

Even today, many of our creations are born from the meeting between the Mediterranean soul of our origins and the delicate elegance we discovered in Japan.

The beginning of our small artisan workshop

With our savings, we slowly began creating small collections inspired by the sea, each with its own story and meaning.

At first, we couldn’t afford a physical boutique.

So we packed our jewelry in small boxes and traveled around Sicily, taking part in craft fairs and seaside markets.

We met extraordinary people, listened to their stories, shared memories, and discovered that so many people felt the same deep emotional connection with the sea.

Those moments became the soul of our brand.

What happened next surprised even us

After more than 40 years of passion for jewelry, we finally decided to bring our creations online.

What began as a small Italian project quickly grew into an international community of women who saw themselves in our story, our colors, and the emotions captured in every piece of jewelry.

In the past year alone, tens of thousands of customers discovered I Segreti del Mare.

The summer 2025 collections exceeded all expectations, with numerous designs selling out completely during the season.

Today, our jewelry reaches customers in Italy, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the United States, as well as many other countries around the world.
